I am a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hand surgery. I am committed to providing high quality, evidence-based care. I strive to continually educate myself so I can better care for my patients with the most up-to-date techniques and best practices.

Orthopaedic CARE

Orthopaedic conditions I treat include:

  • Femur fractures

  • Tibia fractures

  • Hip fractures

  • Ankle fractures

  • Shoulder and elbow fractures

  • Clavicle fractures

  • Biceps tears

  • Tennis elbow/Golfer’s elbow

  • Pediatric fractures

Treatment often involves surgical fixation with hardware (plates, screws, rods, and pins) in order to allow patients to mobilize, decrease pain, and heal in the proper alignment. Whenever possible, I use minimally invasive techniques to avoid large wounds and decrease soft tissue damage. I also consider nonoperative treatment, and weigh the risks and benefits of this with the patient to determine the best course of action for them.

Hand Surgery

Common conditions I treat include:

  • Carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome

  • Trigger finger

  • Wrist tendonitis

  • Ganglions/cysts/lumps

  • Dupuytren’s disease

  • CMC arthritis

  • Hand and wrist fractures

  • Scaphoid fractures

  • Jammed fingers

  • Thumb UCL sprains

  • Mallet fingers

Treatment options include splinting, therapy, anti-inflammatories (over the counter, topical, or oral medications), injections (cortisone injections, Xiaflex injections for Dupuytren’s disease), and surgery. I typically start with the least invasive approach but also consider what will be most effective in alleviating symptoms. I work closely with the best hand therapists in the community, which is critical in obtaining a good outcome with many types of hand surgery.

  • Bracing/casting

  • Anti-inflammatories (topical and oral)

  • Steroid injections

  • Xiaflex (for Dupuytren’s disease)

I typically start with the least invasive approach but also consider what will be most effective in alleviating your symptoms.
